Job description:

Allegria Village, a distinguished senior living community in Dearborn, is seeking a full-time External Marketer to join our Independent Living team.

The ideal candidate will possess strong digital marketing skills, paired with a capacity for creativity and innovation in a rapidly evolving and competitive industry. Adaptability in problem-solving, analytical thinking skills, and a data-driven mindset are essential. In-person marketing efforts will be a key component of this role, so the candidate must be enthusiastic, energetic, and engaging. We are looking for innovative ideas and the ability to connect authentically with seniors and promote the benefits of Independent Living at Allegria Village.

The External Marketer will be responsible for enhancing community awareness among target audiences and establishing relationships with potential referral sources, ultimately aimed at maximizing admissions. This individual will also play a crucial role in building and maintaining a resident census that aligns with the community’s occupancy goals.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities to meet established trends; aid in the development and implementation of strategic sales plans.
  2. Build relationships with clients and referral sources to support growth initiatives.
  3. Plan and execute marketing events targeting referral sources and prospective residents.
  4. Monitor competitive landscapes and deliver effective sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  5. Collaborate in the development and management of client and homecare agency relationships; evaluate accounts and oversee projects to ensure timely completion.
  6. Assist in executing sales campaigns and maintain active participation in networking organizations.
  7. Work closely with the Senior Director and Administrator (if applicable) to develop and implement the weekly outreach plan and foster outside community engagement.
  8. Oversee all phases of the sales and marketing process to guarantee the community meets and sustains its occupancy and revenue growth targets.
  9. Collaborate with the Independent Living marketing and admissions team on select events.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Duties:

  • Conduct external marketing activities 3-4 days per week.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources.
  • Contribute to the community’s social media presence.
  • Cultivate new lead sources while maintaining relationships with existing referral agencies.
  • Organize and coordinate community and facility marketing events and attend trade shows.
  • Foster relationships within the community with managers and staff.
  • Attend weekly marketing meetings at the community.
  • Participate in weekly conference calls with the Senior Director and/or Administrator.
  • Submit daily and weekly marketing reports to the direct supervisor, administrators, and corporate.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of sales and marketing experience in the senior living industry is preferred.
  • Proven success in event planning, referral source development, and navigating a successful sales process.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Ability to build relationships with the adult children of prospective residents, staff, doctors, and the broader community.
  • A compassionate listener with a genuine interest in client engagement.

Education/Certification:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
