A Day in the Life of an Assistant General Manager:

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with KFC’s standards and policies.
  • Lead and manage a team, supporting the Restaurant General Manager with training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee inventory management, uphold food safety protocols, and address customer inquiries and concerns.
  • Manage financial responsibilities, including cash management and expense control.

Requirements:
What You Bring to the Table:

  • A minimum of one year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in a food service or retail environment, including responsibilities for Profit & Loss, preferably in a quick-service restaurant (QSR).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability to close the restaurant at least on two nights each week.
  • Capability to lift, carry, stack, push, or pull heavy items. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and navigate compact spaces while operating restaurant equipment safely.

Assistant General Managers will receive compensation commensurate with their skills and experience. The precise compensation will vary based on individual qualifications, experience, location, and other factors as permitted by law, and will be discussed during the hiring process. Expected starting compensation ranges for new hires in this position across various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • All other locations: $12.00 to $22.00 per hour
  • State of Maryland: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • State of New York: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • New York City: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
  • Cincinnati, OH: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
  • Toledo, OH: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
