A typical day as an Assistant General Manager includes:

  • Overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure compliance with KFC standards and policies.
  • Leading and managing a team, which includes assisting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) with training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Managing inventory, upholding food safety protocols, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Overseeing financial responsibilities, including cash management and expense control.
  • Collaborating with the General Manager to develop growth strategies and uphold brand integrity.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Assistant General Manager in a food service or retail setting, including responsibility for Profit & Loss, preferably within a quick-service restaurant (QSR).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability to oversee closing operations at least two nights per week.
  • Ability to lift, carry, stack, push, or pull heavy objects, stand, and walk for the duration of shifts, as well as safely navigate compact spaces and operate restaurant equipment.

Assistant General Managers will receive compensation that reflects both skill and experience. The precise compensation will differ based on various factors, including location, and will be discussed during the hiring process. The anticipated starting compensation for new hires in this role varies by state and jurisdiction:

  • All other locations: $12.00 to $22.00 per hour
  • State of Maryland: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • State of New York: $16.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • New York City: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
  • Cincinnati, OH: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
  • Toledo, OH: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour
