AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) in East Lansing, MI, we can reference various industry standards and salary surveys. As of my last update in October 2021, the average annual salary for a CIO in the U.S. typically ranged from $150,000 to $250,000, which translates to an hourly rate of about $72 to $120, depending on experience and organization size. East Lansing may present a slightly lower average due to its regional market dynamics, but the rate should ideally be within 10-20% of the national average to be considered competitive. If the hourly rate falls significantly below this range, it might not attract top-tier candidates, whereas a rate at or above the national average would be more competitive and appealing. For the most accurate evaluation, it would be best to compare the specific hourly rate against local salary data and metrics from organizations such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics or industry-specific salary surveys.
