Position Summary:
We invite you to join our expanding team as a Community Relations Specialist, a full-time role (40 hours per week, Monday-Friday) with a hybrid remote and onsite work model. This position is focused on enhancing Origami’s community presence through effective marketing, social media engagement, graphic design, advertising, and event planning. The Community Relations Specialist is responsible for maintaining and projecting a professional image for Origami, increasing community awareness of our programs and services, and executing brand messaging through diverse marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, media relations, and event coordination.

The successful candidate will actively engage with various community venues and channels to elevate Origami’s visibility at local and statewide levels, particularly within the rehabilitation and healthcare sectors. The role involves cultivating relationships with external providers and referral sources, ensuring timely, accurate, and inclusive communication that reflects Origami’s values and supports our strong reputation.

Essential Duties:
– Clearly articulate Origami’s mission, vision, core values, company culture, philosophy, programs, and services to external stakeholders.
– Manage resources efficiently regarding expenses and time, maintaining proactive communication with supervisors about activities and offsite engagements.
– Demonstrate the ability to manage sensitive or controversial topics with professionalism and tact under pressure.
– Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community leaders, referral sources, donors, and others.
– Represent Origami positively in outreach efforts, including marketing, during facility tours, and while delivering presentations.
– Utilize various communication methods to maximize awareness of programs and services, fostering increased outpatient and residential referrals.
– Educate community members, potential donors, and referral sources about Origami’s programs and services.
– Participate in community events, conferences, showcases, and networking opportunities as a representative of Origami.
– Help manage the organization’s online brand presence, ensuring consistency across platforms such as the website, social media, newsletters, and email communications.
– Implement strategic initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation and positively impact the community.
– Nurture relationships within the organization to promote positivity and inclusiveness among employees.
– Produce and distribute media releases and marketing materials.
– Assist in content creation for various platforms, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

Preferences:
– Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations
– 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare and/or rehabilitation

– Experience with online marketing platforms such as Constant Contact
– Familiarity with managing social media sites and scheduling tools
– Knowledge of SEO strategies, including familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Ads certification
– Experience executing advertisement campaigns on social media platforms

Physical Requirements:
The role requires regular communication, including speaking and listening. Occasional responsibilities may involve standing, walking, sitting, using hands for various tasks, reaching, climbing, and stooping.
