We are currently looking for candidates with outstanding customer service and clinical skills to fill the role of Medical Receptionist. Our goal is to cultivate a career environment that feels more like family than just a job. You will be collaborating with a team of dedicated professionals at a well-respected dermatology practice that prioritizes our patients above all else.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
– Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of patients into the office setting.
– Greeting all patients in a professional and friendly manner.
– Distributing appropriate literature, information, and forms for patients to complete, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
– Copying insurance ID cards and driver’s licenses, in addition to performing various general office tasks related to the medical practice.
– Supporting front office business administrators and the Office Manager across various operational areas and tasks.
– Maintaining patient records through pulling and filing, as well as communicating with patients by phone.
– Assisting with new patient chart set-up and undertaking additional duties as assigned by the Office Manager.
Additional responsibilities may include:
– Screening patients and employees for entry each day.
– Handling patient check-ins and check-outs.
– Rooming patients while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
– Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
– Sanitizing and cleaning designated areas as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
– A high school diploma or equivalent.
– Preferred knowledge of medical terminology, medical software, and insurance policies.
– Typing proficiency of 40 words per minute.
– Required proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
– A personable, dependable, and responsible demeanor, with exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
– A positive attitude complemented by exemplary customer service skills.
