The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will play a crucial role in safeguarding the organization against cyber threats by actively monitoring information technology systems and assessing potential risks. This position involves supporting the establishment and management of a robust cyber security program encompassing data loss prevention, vulnerability assessments, and incident management, along with the implementation and oversight of various security tools.

Key responsibilities include:

– Performing constant vigilance to protect the organization from cyber-attacks by monitoring IT systems and evaluating emerging threats.
– Assisting in the development and execution of the information security program, with a focus on aligning with the NIST-800-171/CMMC Framework.
– Managing the System Security Plan (SSP), Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM), and updating the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) score.
– Leading the implementation of Microsoft 365/O365 security and compliance measures to ensure all security requirements are met and adjusting policies as necessary.
– Overseeing the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution, identifying, triaging, and aiding in the remediation of cyber security alerts.
– Defining and implementing technical and business processes and policies related to data protection strategies, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions to enhance security, privacy, and data integrity.
– Conducting vulnerability assessments, facilitating remediation efforts, and collaborating with technical teams to advocate for effective response strategies.
– Auditing endpoint and server patching processes to identify gaps and working alongside technical teams to resolve identified issues.
– Engaging in network and host monitoring as well as intrusion detection analysis using tools such as Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), firewalls, SIEM, Network Access Control (NAC), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), DLP, Cisco Umbrella, and host-based security solutions.
– Leading security incident investigations and serving as a subject matter expert during cyber incident responses, ensuring collaboration with technical teams for effective resolution.
– Continuously monitoring the corporate network for vulnerabilities, security threats, and breaches, and remediating any anomalies detected.
– Staying informed on the latest trends in cyber security and applying this knowledge to enhance the organization’s security posture.
– Facilitating cyber security education initiatives and conducting simulated phishing tests to improve overall security awareness.
– Collaborating with third-party security vendors, including Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP).

Required Qualifications:

– A Master’s degree in business, information technology, or a related field.
– Significant experience in supporting, securing, and maintaining networked systems, servers, and cloud environments.
– Proficiency with network performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Nagios.
– Familiarity with project management and diagramming tools, including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.
– A minimum of five years of professional experience in the cyber security space.
– Relevant certifications in information security, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
– Experience with system installation, configuration, analysis, capacity planning, and performance monitoring tools and techniques.
