AutoZone’s Part-Time Retail Sales Associates play a pivotal role in driving sales through exceptional customer service, consistently striving to exceed customer expectations and deliver a memorable experience. In assisting customers, Retail Sales Associates will carry out daily assigned responsibilities while adhering to company protocols in alignment with AutoZone’s core values by embodying the company Pledge on a daily basis.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding WOW! Customer Service
- Complete assigned store tasks efficiently during shifts
- Operate cash registers in accordance with established cash handling procedures
- Adhere to company policies and loss prevention measures
- Foster a safe working environment, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Maintain store appearance and uphold merchandising standards as directed
- Restock merchandise and ensure proper placement in designated areas
- Leverage ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or identifying suitable alternatives
- Stay informed about product knowledge and current promotions via AutoZone resources
- Practice GOTTChA by assisting with the installation of wiper blades, batteries, and light bulbs
- Utilize OBDII to read diagnostic codes from customer vehicles
- Diagnose vehicle issues and propose appropriate solutions
- Communicate customer concerns and employee matters to management
- Actively work on enhancing customer service skills
- Provide honest and trustworthy advice about products that meet customer expectations
Position Requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is essential
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Physical ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends, based on business needs
