Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in both the kitchen and dining areas.
- Warmly greet residents and guests, fostering a welcoming and friendly environment.
- Plan menus, prepare, and cook meals for residents using standardized recipes.
- Experience in preparing complete meals in larger quantities (20+ meals) is preferred; Serve Safe certification is an asset but not required.
- Plate and serve meals promptly and efficiently, ensuring food is presented in an appealing and appetizing manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, which includes setting and clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies as necessary.
- Deliver room service trays to residents as requested.
- Assist in transporting residents to and from the dining room.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, complying with health department regulations and facility policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
