Whispering Pines Senior Living Facility in Cadillac is seeking a versatile cook who is also willing to take on serving responsibilities. Are you passionate about making a positive impact? This part-time position offers a flexible schedule with no late-night shifts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining cleanliness in both the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Warmly greet residents and guests, fostering a welcoming and friendly environment.
  • Plan menus, prepare, and cook meals for residents using standardized recipes.
  • Experience in preparing complete meals in larger quantities (20+ meals) is preferred; Serve Safe certification is an asset but not required.
  • Plate and serve meals promptly and efficiently, ensuring food is presented in an appealing and appetizing manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, which includes setting and clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies as necessary.
  • Deliver room service trays to residents as requested.
  • Assist in transporting residents to and from the dining room.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, complying with health department regulations and facility policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
