Requirements:

The role involves providing leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care. The nurse will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care while educating patients and their families. This department serves as an excellent stepping stone for nurses aspiring to work in an ICU setting, providing exposure to progressive drips and critical care nursing without immediate requirements for full ICU certification.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical skills necessary for developing effective nursing care plans.
  • Proficiency in a broad spectrum of professional nursing services.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
