Job description:
AutoZone’s Part-Time Shift Supervisors play a vital role in supporting the Store Manager by driving company initiatives and maximizing productivity. They are responsible for training and guiding high-performing AutoZoners in a safe work environment, fostering sales growth, managing expenses and shrinkage, and ensuring compliance with company procedures in line with AutoZone’s expectations. On assigned shifts, Part-Time Shift Supervisors are dedicated to surpassing customer expectations, delivering a distinguished shopping experience, and embodying the company’s pledge on a daily basis.

Position Responsibilities:

– Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing store personnel.
– Assume accountability for store operations and the commercial department in the absence of the Commercial Sales Manager and Store Manager during assigned shifts.
– Collaborate with the management of the Commercial and Hub Departments (where applicable) to guarantee that commercial accounts and stores receive timely service and deliveries.
– Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that store merchandising responsibilities are executed promptly.
– Operate cash registers and adhere to established cash handling protocols, including deposits, petty cash, and lane accountability.
– Ensure adherence to all company policies and loss prevention procedures.
– Utilize ZNET to assist customers in locating merchandise or identifying suitable alternatives.
– Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that AutoZoners adhere to safety practices, including usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
– Monitor cash flow, inventory, and security controls.
– Uphold sales productivity, store appearance, and merchandising standards.
– Conduct and review all opening and closing procedures.
– Manage emergency situations and follow proper emergency protocols.
– Adhere to established accident procedures.
– Provide constructive feedback regarding AutoZoner performance to the Store Manager.
– Support the monitoring and management of all activities related to Risk & Safety Management to sustain a safe workplace.
– Address customer concerns effectively, aiming to transform complaints into compliments.
– Process returns and manage inventory proficiently.
– Communicate AutoZoner issues and concerns to the Store Manager in a timely and confidential manner.
– Inspire AutoZoners to deliver exceptional customer service, enhance productivity levels, and successfully market products to boost sales and profitability.

Position Requirements:

– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– ASE certification preferred.
– Demonstrates a high level of integrity.
– Exceptional communication and decision-making skills.
– Proven ability to drive customer service excellence.
