Job description:
The Seniors Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Senior Programs department through a range of administrative functions that facilitate the effective management and operation of the program. Key responsibilities include handling phone calls, inquiries, and visitors, managing mail filing, generating and preparing reports, and receiving and documenting donations, alongside various administrative tasks.
- Welcoming Senior Programs visitors with a positive demeanor and directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel based on their needs; answering phones with clarity, taking messages, or transferring calls to the relevant individuals.
- Guiding senior volunteers to necessary community resources to enhance their program experience effectively.
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of in-kind donations and overseeing the logistics of drop-offs.
- Establishing and maintaining both paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other relevant materials; managing scheduling and event calendars, including the coordination of conferences and meetings.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent, along with prior clerical or administrative experience; a bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience relevant to the assigned duties is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of professional experience in a social services agency serving children and families is preferred.
