Job description:

We are actively seeking to fill part-time Housekeeper positions immediately.

The role is based at Harper Hospital, located at 3990 John R Street, Detroit, MI 48201. Please note that we only accept online applications.

The schedule for part-time work will vary, with shifts available from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Further details will be provided during the interview process.

While previous experience in housekeeping and customer service is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement for applicants.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $18.10.

Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for performing light cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly environment in establishments such as hospitals, hotels, and restaurants. Key responsibilities include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, and vacuuming.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
  • Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
  • Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
  • Empty and clean trash containers in a sanitary manner.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly.
  • Maintain cleanliness of wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
  • Wipe down glass surfaces.
  • Make beds and change linens as necessary.
  • Realign furniture and amenities according to a designated layout.
  • Address guest inquiries and requests promptly.
  • Respond to housekeeping issues, such as spills and breakages.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating professionalism towards customers and colleagues.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
