Job description:

Maximus is seeking a highly skilled Director of Quality Management to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The Director of Quality Management will oversee quality management activities across all Maximus divisions, which include quality monitoring systems, quality reviews, analysis, reporting, corrective actions, readiness reviews, project reviews, and follow-up actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive oversight of quality management initiatives throughout Maximus divisions, encompassing quality monitoring systems, quality reviews, analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Demonstrate leadership and subject matter expertise in quality management and compliance, with a strong grasp of industry best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Formulate strategies and solutions for quality functions within business development initiatives across multiple federal agencies, focusing on innovative and cost-effective quality management approaches that align with contractual and governmental requirements.
  • Contribute to achieving business objectives by monitoring performance outcomes, driving change, enhancing existing processes, and fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.
  • Develop and implement a thorough quality management framework across various projects.
  • Build and manage a team dedicated to quality management within the Federal Services division, including both direct reports and staff in a matrix reporting environment.
  • Oversee and direct teams located both locally and remotely.
  • Continuously track metrics and performance across multiple projects.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of best practices through project reviews and provide technical assistance in quality and process improvement areas.
  • Advise and supervise projects in the development of quality plans and methodologies to uphold robust quality management systems that comply with industry standards.
  • Manage all compliance certifications, including ISO 9001:2000 and URAC standards.
  • Conduct regular management review meetings to evaluate quality program efficacy.
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of reports to monitor and assess quality performance across multiple functional areas.
  • Maintain a professional approach to addressing quality assurance issues and fostering open communication regarding suggestions and complaints.
  • Act as the primary contact point for escalated quality issues and ensure confidentiality of quality assurance information according to policy.
  • Travel occasionally to project sites as required.

The Director of Quality Management will:

  • Develop and cultivate the internal Quality team, setting performance benchmarks, coaching, and mentoring staff, assessing performance, and managing talent acquisition and retention.
  • Update Quality Assurance KPIs concerning key performance indicators and participate in quality review and planning processes.
  • Actively manage expectations and provide training to foster professional development among team members.
  • Be prepared to travel up to 25% for professional obligations.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including, but not limited to, job location, education, experience, and responsibilities. The annual salary represents just one component of our total compensation package, which may also include short- and long-term incentives, employee benefits, and paid time off. Salary ranges may vary based on contract value and relevant experience.

Minimum Salary: $80,300.00

Maximum Salary: $170,000.00
