Job description:
The Business Resource Network (BRN) is a public-private partnership dedicated to supporting local businesses by enhancing employee retention through various supportive activities aimed at removing barriers to ongoing employment. The Employee Success Coach plays a pivotal role by engaging directly with individual employees at employer sites, assisting them in identifying and addressing obstacles such as transportation, childcare, and housing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Establish and maintain a structured schedule with BRN member employers across multiple locations and varying work shifts.
– Provide employees with relevant resources, including flyers and websites, to facilitate access to necessary support.
– Present the BRN program to employees in conjunction with member employers.
– Schedule and coordinate appointments with employees as required.
– Conduct assessments to identify the specific needs of BRN employees regarding their continued employment.
– Collaborate with employees to develop strategies for resolving employment-related issues.
– Determine eligibility for BRN program assistance and provide tailored support as needed.
– Offer ongoing case management to ensure progress in resolving identified issues.
– Document services provided in employee case management files comprehensively.
– Keep updated records of available social services to assist employees and guide them on how to access these resources.
– Coordinate the procurement of third-party services for employees as necessary.
– Assist employees in completing written applications for services when required.
– Provide emergency assistance and crisis intervention in critical situations.
– Compile and present reports and updates to the Lead Success Coach on a monthly basis or as requested.
– Strive for continuous improvement in processes, aiming to enhance efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and deliver exceptional customer service.
– Build and sustain productive relationships with internal and external resources available to employees.
– Engage positively with the public and colleagues to foster mutual cooperation and respect.
– Ensure confidentiality of all BRN employee information is strictly maintained.
– Actively promote the recruitment of new companies to join the BRN.
– Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
All SEMCA team members are expected to be technically proficient and dedicated to the continuous enhancement of their skills. The following qualifications are specifically required for this role:
Required Qualifications:
– Associate degree in Social Work, Career Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field.
– A minimum of two years of experience in human services or social work is preferred.
– Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats with a diverse range of stakeholders.
– Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems and propose effective solutions.
– Exceptional interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with businesses and employees.
– Comprehensive knowledge of local community resources.
– Highly organized, self-motivated, and adept at multitasking with prompt follow-up.
– Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office software applications.
– Familiarity with WordPress CMS.
– Excellent customer service capabilities.
– Experience in employer and community engagement and outreach.
– Comfortable delivering presentations to large audiences.
– Possession of reliable transportation.
Desired Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Career Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field.
– Prior experience working for a non-profit organization.
– Proficiency in a second language is a plus.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to navigate a standard office environment and utilize standard office equipment, including computers.
