Job description:

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is seeking enthusiastic Baristas to join our team in the mornings and afternoons, with shifts starting as early as 5:30 AM. As an established, woman-owned and led premium coffeehouse brand, we have been delighting customers for over 30 years since our inception in Ann Arbor. Our location in the dynamic and vibrant downtown Ann Arbor offers a lively atmosphere surrounded by numerous restaurants and retail establishments. Convenient parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods, along with easy access to public transportation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare coffee, tea, and espresso beverages in accordance with Sweetwaters standards, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Provide friendly, accurate, and prompt service to guests.
  • Execute cash handling procedures with precision.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment at all times.
  • Stay informed and share knowledge about Sweetwaters’ coffee, tea, and other products.

Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills and a passion for coffee or tea are essential; food service experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Availability for shifts starting as early as 5:30 AM and during afternoons is required.

  • Commitment to a minimum of 15 hours per week, including at least two shifts during the weekend.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
