AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the hourly rate for a Barista position in Royal Oak, MI, it’s essential to consider several factors, including the local cost of living, market demand, and current industry standards. As of 2023, the average hourly wage for baristas in the U.S. generally ranges from $12 to $16, with potential increases when tips are included, particularly in busy urban areas. In Royal Oak, a city known for its vibrant coffee culture and dining options, baristas may earn towards the higher end of this spectrum, especially in specialty coffee shops. Thus, if the offered hourly rate aligns within this range or exceeds it, it can be considered competitive. However, if the rate falls below this average, it may not adequately attract talent in this growing culinary market.
