Job description:
A Housekeeper is primarily responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and visual appeal of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas within the hotel. This role entails daily servicing of guest rooms in accordance with hotel procedures, which includes stocking the housekeeping cart with necessary supplies, replacing bed linens, and replenishing guest room amenities while adhering to company standards and safety/security protocols. Additionally, the Housekeeper may be tasked with performing deep cleaning activities within guest rooms, as well as undertaking preventative maintenance responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in the hospitality industry or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail is essential, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills to engage with guests and team members.
- The ability to clearly convey information and ideas is required.
- Quick and accurate evaluation and selection of alternative courses of action are necessary.
- The candidate must thrive in high-pressure situations and manage stress effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, with scheduling varying based on hotel needs.
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, ensuring to wear the proper uniform and name tag while on duty, in accordance with brand standards.
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
- Complete all pre-cleaning tasks, including setting up the housekeeping cart with guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens.
- Remove all trash and soiled linens from guest rooms.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- May need to disassemble furniture or items in guest rooms to facilitate deep cleaning.
- Deep cleaning tasks may include but are not limited to changing the AC filter, cleaning AC coils, touching up paint on walls and moldings, repairing scratched furniture, or rehanging sliding doors.
