As a Team Member, you will provide essential support in customer service, stocking, and sanitation within your assigned department(s). Responsibilities
- Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including availability on nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Perform assigned opening, mid, and closing duties.
- Adhere to departmental procedures for product preparation, storage, rotation, and stocking.
- Prepare, package, weigh, and price products for sale.
- Monitor product quality and freshness, ensuring proper rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper stock levels of cases and shelves.
- Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep logs as required.
- Assist with periodic inventory checks.
- Arrive on time to your workstation, well-groomed and ready to work; fulfill scheduled shifts, and participate in training and meetings.
- Deliver excellent customer service, attending to customer needs promptly while utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
- Maximize sales potential through effective preparation, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising practices.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment; uphold equipment cleanliness in accordance with company standards.
- Verify accuracy of signage and pricing.
- Promptly report safety hazards and violations.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.

- Acquire foundational knowledge of all products offered in your department.
- Visually assess products for quality and freshness.
- Proactively engage with product labels to familiarize yourself with various items.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Standing or walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour workday is required.
- Hand use includes single grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing/pulling actions.
- The work environment involves motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
- Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and varying temperatures (freezing and refrigerated environments, above 90 degrees Fahrenheit) is expected.
- Ability to work in wet and/or cold conditions.
- Utilize tools and equipment such as box cutters, knives, electric pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, six-wheel carts, balers, and other machinery.
New entry-level Team Members who complete their initial 90 days of employment and maintain their active status in an eligible role may be eligible for a base rate increase following their 90-day anniversary.
