Job description:

Under general supervision, the Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for adhering to standard operating procedures for all patient registration activities. This includes patient reception, face-to-face check-in and check-out, pre-registration, insurance verification, cash collections, chart reconciliation, and patient discharge. The CSR actively contributes to fostering an organizational culture dedicated to the highest standards of service excellence across all customer groups.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in performing calculations, completing forms, and extensively utilizing computer information systems.
  • Familiarity with a clinical environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with detailed information is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, medical staff, and other clinic or hospital personnel, both over the telephone and in person.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently to meet the needs of clinic staff and patients.
  • Capable of discussing patients’ general financial responsibilities and connecting them with the Customer Service Center at the Corporate Business Office.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, while being supportive of team members.
  • Requirement to successfully complete yearly competencies.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in opening software/email, keyboard navigation, and managing logins and logouts.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population across various backgrounds and ages.
  • Dependable and punctual with strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks.
