AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for the role of “Cashiers – Whole Foods” in Detroit, MI, it’s essential to compare it against industry standards and local averages. As of late 2023, cashier positions in supermarkets typically offer hourly wages ranging from $12 to $15, with Whole Foods often paying at the upper end of this spectrum due to its emphasis on employee welfare and benefits. In Detroit, given the cost of living and competitive retail market, if the offered rate is above $15, it would be considered competitive and in line with or exceeding industry standards, while rates below that may fall short, especially considering adjustments for inflation and local economic conditions. Overall, evaluating the specific rate against these benchmarks can provide context on its competitiveness.
