Job description:

The Night Auditor is accountable for the comprehensive management of all Night Audit tasks, overseeing front desk operations during the overnight shift (typically from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Key responsibilities encompass the registration of guests, reservation management, preparation of daily reports, transaction balancing, and conducting security assessments throughout the property.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a warm, service-oriented manner.

  • Initiate and successfully complete the End of Day process.
  • Generate all necessary reports for Food and Beverage audit.
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
  • Balance daily activities, including movie revenue, telephone postings, valet laundry, and paperwork from servers and desk agents.
  • Responsible for cashiering duties as outlined in Front Office procedures and Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the Front Office computer systems in alignment with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Manage all Front Office functions between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
  • Oversee security checks made by the Midnight House Attendant to ensure all areas are secured.
  • Address and follow through on all guest requests from 11:00 PM until 7:00 AM.
  • Adhere to safety and emergency protocols in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality guidelines.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping practices, including log books, as per Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
  • Familiarize oneself with Aimbridge Hospitality policies and house rules.
  • Complete initial direct bills daily and present them to the Property Accountant, attaching necessary folio and banquet check documentation.
  • Maintain radio communication with other associates throughout the shift.
  • Have a working understanding of security procedures.
  • Ensure that associates exhibit attentive, friendly, and courteous behavior toward all guests, managers, and fellow associates.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as needed.
  • Facilitate the transfer of master or house accounts as required.
  • Distribute work—such as revenue printouts, charge and paid folios, and vouchers—per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Train new Night Auditors at the request of management.
  • Execute morning reports according to Aimbridge Hospitality protocols.
  • Assign and ensure delivery of newspapers daily and manage Express Check-Out deliveries.
  • Validate that the nightly walk-through includes the removal of room service trays and maintaining the pool and Jacuzzi area.
  • Handle Lost and Found items according to established standards.
  • Complete reports as requested by management in a timely fashion.
  • Execute any miscellaneous duties, including resetting Food and Beverage P.O.S. systems, distributing credit ‘Watch List,’ and preparing daily revenue summaries.
  • As applicable, assist guests with food orders and serve food and beverage items professionally, demonstrating effective suggestive selling techniques while maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Execute any additional duties as requested by the Guest Services Manager or another member of management.
