JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, researching, and contracting new land suitable for acquisition and development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify lands suitable for acquisition and development through conducting thorough market research and due diligence.
- Assess land values in specific markets by analyzing comparable property sales using public records, developers, and other professional networks.
- Negotiate terms and execute contracts for land acquisition.
- Collaborate with Development personnel to manage land entitlement and planning activities.
- Facilitate the governmental review process.
- Review and oversee purchase agreements.
- Coordinate joint venture agreements or management agreements, as appropriate.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure adequate staffing to meet departmental requirements.
- Utilize effective recruiting and selection processes to cultivate organizational talent.
- Delegate responsibilities based on employees’ skills and capabilities.
- Evaluate employee performance and plan compensation actions in line with their contributions.
- Identify and provide developmental opportunities through internal and external training resources.
- Create pathways for employee advancement.
- Extend continuous coaching regarding both technical skills and leadership standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- A valid Driver’s License, as driving is a key function of this role.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
