Job description:
The University Training Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the Serv-U-Success University staff and serves as the primary point of contact for team members participating in training activities. This position encompasses the management of training materials, coordination of logistics for training sessions, and oversight of general administrative functions within the University Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Materials
- Prepare, organize, and distribute printed materials, including training binders for new hires.
- Monitor and coordinate the progress, testing, and graduation timelines for Store Managers in Training.
- Oversee the distribution of certifications for the Retail Operations Certification Program.
Coordination
- Ensure a welcoming and organized training space, including the arrangement of furniture, equipment, and seasonal decorations.
- Coordinate meals (up to three times weekly), manage office supplies, and oversee training-related inventory.
- Arrange hotel accommodations for out-of-town attendees and manage room key logistics.
- Plan off-site events, dinners, and meeting locations as necessary.
- Organize carpools for traveling team members in collaboration with directors and managers.
Administrative Support
- Process and distribute departmental mail.
- Collaborate with the Finance Team to reconcile University-related receipts and track departmental expenditures.
- Manage the Lending Library utilizing Libib software.
- Oversee the training department’s email account, promptly responding to inquiries.
- Schedule and manage the calendar for the company mentor and University conference room.
Training Support
- Assist Corporate Trainers in conducting training activities, including icebreakers, workshops, and material organization.
- Manage Store iPad Workstation materials stored at the University.
Additional Duties
- Maintain a clean and organized training environment, including light housekeeping in common areas.
- Undertake other responsibilities as assigned.

- Education & Experience: A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong customer service abilities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software applications.
