We are currently seeking Caregivers for our Senior Living Facility in Fort Gratiot, MI. As a Med Tech/Caregiver at Blue Water Lodge Senior Living Community, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to our residents. Candidates with experience in medication administration and a passion for serving the elderly in a nurturing environment will find this position rewarding. We are looking for flexible candidates to cover shifts from 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 11pm. Experience in passing medications is a mandatory requirement.

As a Med Tech, your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
– Administering medications and injections according to physicians’ orders documented in medical charts.
– Maintaining a clean environment, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
– Adhering to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Monitoring residents for changes in condition and promptly communicating any modifications to the supervisor.
– Following scheduled routines and assisting residents with repositioning.
– Accurately documenting medication administration per established procedures.
– Exercising good judgment in providing client care and ensuring safety.
– Collaborating with team members as needed to fulfill duties.
– Responding promptly to call lights and assessing residents’ needs.
– Obtaining meal trays and assisting residents with eating.
– Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
