Opportunity: Guest Service Agent
As a Guest Service Agent, you will play a pivotal role in greeting, registering, and assisting guests in a friendly and courteous manner that aligns with our hotel’s brand and sustainability standards.
Your Growth Path:
You will have the opportunity to advance to positions such as Front Desk Supervisor or Sales Coordinator, eventually progressing to Front Office Manager or Sales Manager.
Your Focus:
– Provide a warm welcome to guests and promptly offer assistance with their needs.
– Manage the registration process and assign guests to their accommodations.
– Establish and verify methods of payment and credit.
– Make and confirm reservations efficiently.
– Calculate bills, collect payments, and dispense change as necessary.
– Facilitate communication by transmitting and receiving messages via telephones or through the PMS system.
– Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests.
– Address and resolve guest complaints, escalating issues to a supervisor when required.
– Safeguard guests’ valuables in the hotel safe or secure deposit boxes when not available in guest rooms.
– Perform bookkeeping tasks, including account balancing and conducting audits.
– Monitor guest satisfaction scores and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing overall satisfaction levels.
– Adhere to sustainability guidelines and practices in line with HHM’s EarthView program.
– Maintain safe work practices by wearing appropriate safety equipment and complying with MSDS and OSHA standards.
– Assist in the breakfast area or provide luggage assistance during busy periods as necessary.
– Strive to ensure an exceptional experience for all guests.
– Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Your Background and Skills:
– A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
– Previous experience in customer service or relevant training is required.
– Familiarity with PMS systems is advantageous.
Work Environment and Context:
– The work schedule is variable and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
– The role requires standing for extended periods, as well as the ability to walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, and engage in bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
