Job Description
Job Title: Cook
Company: Courtyard
Location: Portage, MI
Pay: $16 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Cook in Portage, MI, is relatively competitive, although it may vary based on experience, specific establishment, and job responsibilities. In Michigan, the average hourly wage for cooks generally ranges from $13 to $20, depending on the type of establishment (e.g., fast food, casual dining, fine dining) and the cook’s experience level. While $16 falls within this range, it may be on the lower end for higher-end establishments or experienced cooks. Therefore, while it’s a reasonable starting wage, it’s essential to consider the specific job requirements and benefits offered to ensure overall competitiveness in attracting and retaining talent.
