Job description:
The Servicing Quality Control Auditor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits and reviewing audit results related to loans currently serviced or sold by United Wholesale Mortgage. This role encompasses the analysis of loan boarding processes, payment accuracy, and compliance with both performing and non-performing loan requirements. The auditor will ensure adherence to Servicing Investor guidelines, including those from FNMA, FHLMC, and FHA, as well as relevant Federal and State regulations. An essential part of this position involves reviewing and validating defect notifications received from internal and external sources to minimize exposure to repurchase risk. The auditor will also assess calls and work conducted by the customer care team and the sub-servicer call team. Please note that this position requires onsite attendance.

Key Responsibilities:
– Review and validate identified discrepancies and conditions stemming from internal or external audits regarding all servicing-related matters, including compliance with Mortgage Investor Guidelines (Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, etc.) and applicable Federal or State servicing guidelines.
– Assess the validity of defects against Agency and Federal guidelines, as well as United Shore’s internal policies.
– Conduct monthly and quarterly departmental meetings to discuss trends and necessary improvements.
– Collaborate with internal departments to identify the root causes of errors.
– Engage in effective communication with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to resolve defects.
– Review audits from external sources to further mitigate risks.

Qualifications:

Required:
– High School Diploma or equivalent.
– Relevant experience in mortgage servicing.
– Strong familiarity with Federal and Agency (FNMA / FHLMC) servicing guidelines and procedures.
– A minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing or mortgage auditing.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:
– College degree.
– Knowledge of FHA and/or VA regulations.
– Experience in servicing and/or loss mitigation.
