Job description:
A Laundry Attendant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the hotel maintains an uninterrupted supply of pristine linens, adhering to the high standards set forth by the Veridea Group, while also prioritizing guest satisfaction through friendly and attentive service.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Provide sincere and courteous assistance to guests, striving to exceed their expectations and ensure their complete satisfaction.
2. Thoroughly clean, fold, and distribute bed and bath linens, including:
a. Sorting all linens appropriately.
b. Skillfully loading and unloading laundry into washers and dryers.
c. Properly treating soiled bed and bath linens.
d. Reporting any unusual circumstances to a supervisor.
e. Promptly addressing maintenance requests.
f. Documenting any articles left behind in linen and logging them in the Lost & Found Logbook.
3. Maintain a clean and organized laundry room to enhance operational efficiency.
4. Organize laundry storage areas to preserve the quality of contents and optimize job efficiency, including:
a. Checking stock levels to ensure adequate supplies for daily tasks.
b. Restocking storage rooms and/or carts as necessary.
c. Identifying and removing damaged or soiled linens, returning them to appropriate storage.
5. Securely lock linen closets, linen chutes, and trash chutes to uphold safety and security at all times.
6. Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and solve problems as they arise.
7. Recognize that scheduled shifts have a precise start time, with end times contingent upon supervisor direction and workload.
8. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the property and its facilities to effectively assist guests with inquiries.
9. Understand and implement all hotel safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment for both employees and guests.
10. Keep the operations manager promptly and thoroughly informed of any significant issues or unusual matters that arise, facilitating timely corrective action.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
