Job description:
The Front Desk Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service by supporting the Front Desk Manager and/or General Manager. This position is responsible for ensuring attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests from the moment they arrive until their departure. The supervisor will also focus on maximizing room revenue and occupancy rates.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field is required, along with a High School diploma or equivalent. College coursework in a related discipline is advantageous.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information effectively.
- Strong decision-making skills, enabling quick and accurate evaluations of various options.
- Capability to perform well in high-pressure situations, effectively managing guest objections and disputes.
- Initiative in anticipating needs and completing tasks proactively.

Responsibilities:
- Approach all interactions with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag.
- Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations, ensuring safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, setting the standard for guest relations at the Front Desk.
- Collect all essential information while taking room reservations.
- Monitor and manage VIP and special guest requests.
- Review the Front Office log and Trace File on a daily basis.
- Fully understand and execute all relevant functions of the front desk computer system.
- Ensure the timely and professional logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail.
- Stay informed about all current rates, packages, and promotions.
- Have a thorough understanding of all in-house groups and restricted dates.
- Enforce hotel credit policies in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
- Be capable of performing all duties of a Front Desk Agent as required.
- Complete regular reports, including bucket checks, room rate verifications, and housekeeping reports.
- Operate the P.B.X. console in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
- Foster good communication and teamwork with associates and other departments, setting an example as a team leader.
- Assist the General Manager in ensuring compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards among associates.
- Possess knowledge of emergency procedures and be prepared to assist as required.
- Oversee guest check-in and checkout processes, ensuring they are conducted in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Ensure all duties outlined in the shift checklist are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Maintain a culture of attentiveness, friendliness, and helpfulness among associates towards guests, managers, and each other.
- Aim to maximize room revenue through effective Rooms Merchandising.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries.
- Contribute to departmental meetings by actively participating in planning and execution.
- Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned by management.
- Support the training of new hires and current associates regularly.
- Attend required management meetings.
- Access back-of-house areas and sensitive information responsibly.
