In your role as a Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for warmly welcoming customers, assisting them in finding the appropriate products, and addressing their home improvement inquiries. Your day will be spent interacting with customers, guiding them in product selection, occasionally assisting with merchandise loading, and ensuring their needs are met – all while tailored to the specific department’s requirements.

Customer Service Associates will be assigned to various departments based on hiring needs and skill sets, including Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers to Lowe’s while providing friendly and professional service.
• Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise efficiently.
• Restock merchandise by identifying empty shelf areas and replenishing inventory.
• Accurately process orders and deliveries to ensure customers receive their products on time.
• Engage in cross-functional training to enhance overall customer service.
• Prepare merchandise within your department to meet customer needs (e.g., paint tinting and mixing, pipe cutting and threading, wood cutting and bundling, drywall cutting, and blind cutting).
• Guide customers through their shopping or checkout experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months experience using computers for information management tasks.
• At least 6 months experience with common retail technology, including smartphones and tablets.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic functions.
• Ability to engage in tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other physical activities.
• Capability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted or 25 lbs with accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months of experience in retail or customer service.
• Bilingual proficiency.
• Certification in a trade relevant to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials).
