Job description:

We are seeking a Banquet Server to provide exceptional table service and hospitality to our banquet guests. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficiency, cleanliness, profitability, and professionalism of the banquet dining room and serving area by ensuring high-quality service and adherence to operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve guests in banquet rooms with a focus on providing outstanding table service and hospitality.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders, serving them with attention to detail and appropriate accompaniments.
  • Represent the hotel and property in a professional manner while interacting with guests from both the community and industry organizations.
  • Assist with set-up, clean-up, and tear-down procedures for events.
  • Familiarize oneself and maintain compliance with Health Department standards and codes.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of food, bar, and wine menu items.
  • Effectively communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of prior food and beverage service experience preferred.
  • Proper uniform is required, with an emphasis on maintaining a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Consistent attendance is essential for successful performance in this position.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules as needed.
  • Ability to read and write basic English.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills are essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently throughout the workday.
