Job description:
Models and delivers an exceptional and engaging customer experience by providing courteous and efficient service. Responsibilities include:

– Conducting sales transactions on the assigned cash register, and offering customers a friendly and efficient checkout process.

Customer Experience:
– Engages with customers and patients by greeting them and assisting with inquiries regarding products and services, effectively resolving issues to ensure a positive experience.
– Exemplifies and communicates customer service best practices to all team members, focusing on interpersonal skills such as greeting, maintaining eye contact, and courtesy, alongside core service traits including proactive assistance, needs identification, and satisfactory service delivery.

Operations:
– Delivers prompt and friendly service to all customers.
– Recommends products to customers, including trade-up and companion items.
– Accurately registers customer purchases, handling cash transactions, and managing refunds, voids, returns, and exchanges as needed.
– Maintains clean and well-organized counters and shelves, conducts inventory checks, and manages merchandising and pricing as instructed by the store manager or shift leader.
– Implements company asset protection procedures to minimize potential profit loss.
– Ensures compliance with state and local regulations regarding regulated products, such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
– Constructs and maintains various displays for promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise, completing resets as directed.
– Aids in food item separation and product placement per established policies, ensuring effective stock rotation using the first-in, first-out method.
– Possesses a working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
– Provides customer service in the photo department, which includes digital passport photos and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
– Monitors and fulfills web pick-up orders in the Picture Care Plus system, delivering items to customers upon their arrival.
– Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and orderly appearance of the store’s interior and exterior.
– Adheres to all company policies and procedures while fostering respectful relationships with colleagues.
– Completes special projects and other assignments as directed.

Training & Personal Development:
– Participates in training sessions and completes required PPLs as assigned by management or corporate.

External Basic Qualifications:
– Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
– Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Six months of experience in a retail environment is preferred.
– Previous experience with Walgreens is advantageous.
– Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is preferred (except in Puerto Rico).
– Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including availability during evenings and weekends.
