Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for slicing, packaging, weighing, and selling a variety of deli products, including meats and cheeses. You will also maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the deli area, including display cases, while providing exceptional assistance to members within the deli department.

• Deliver a grand opening appearance daily, with all items well-stocked and promotional plans executed.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to members, answering queries and recommending deli items. Manage incoming member calls and special orders.
• Slice, package, and weigh deli products, assisting members in product selection. Prepare and package special orders and party trays.
• Receive and inspect deli shipments, following food safety and handling procedures while efficiently stocking and rotating products.
• Ensure product freshness and compliance with company quality standards, regularly checking for out-of-date products and adhering to salvage policies.
• Maintain a diverse selection of products in deli cooler shelves and display cases, restocking and rotating items as necessary.
• Operate deli equipment in alignment with safety protocols and conduct regular cleaning and sanitization of equipment and surfaces.
• Verify that scale systems are functioning properly, ensuring accurate weighing and pricing of items.
• Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including assisting in other departments as required.
• Maintain consistent, predictable attendance as a fundamental function of this position.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a deli department is preferred.
• Familiarity with manual/power slicers and scales is a plus.
• Knowledge of deli products is advantageous.

Environmental Job Conditions:
