Line Cook Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Culinary Director, the Line Cook will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dietary department. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

– Delivering the highest quality of customer service to our residents.
– Assisting the Culinary Director in the orientation and training of new staff members.
– Verifying that all staff members are dressed in appropriate uniforms daily.
– Familiarizing oneself with all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
– Maintaining hygienic food handling practices and upholding overall sanitation standards in the food service area.
– Engaging with residents during meal services to gather feedback regarding their satisfaction.
– Coordinating with the Executive Director and Lifestyle Director to set up food and supplies for special events.
– Ensuring sanitary conditions are upheld in dining areas.
– Monitoring the proper use and maintenance of all dietary equipment.
– Executing emergency procedures as needed during shifts.
– Reporting any areas or items in need of repair.
– Participating in prospective resident visits.
– Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements where applicable.
– Performing other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director or Executive Director.
– All Assistant Cooks are required to obtain and maintain a Serve Safe Certification.
