Job Description
Job Title: Student Assistant
Company: State of Michigan
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Pay: $10.33 – 25.1 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $10.33 to $25.10 for a “Student Assistant” role in Kalamazoo, MI, reflects a significant range that may depend on factors such as the specific duties, the employer (e.g., university vs. private sector), and the student’s level of experience or skills. The lower end ($10.33) is near or slightly above the state minimum wage, making it less competitive, especially for skilled positions. Meanwhile, the upper end ($25.10) is quite competitive for a part-time student role, often reserved for positions requiring specialized skills or responsibilities. Overall, while the lower end is less appealing, the broader range suggests opportunities for pay alignment with industry standards, particularly in educational settings. Therefore, the competitiveness of this role largely hinges on the specific requirements and expectations associated with the position.
