Job description:
We are currently seeking a Benefits Representative to join our esteemed team of HR professionals. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Benefits Manager to effectively administer the comprehensive array of benefits available to employees at MotorCity Casino Hotel.

As a Benefits Representative, your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting in the administration of employee benefits programs, including the 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability options, among others.
– Supporting the open enrollment process by guiding employees through plan options and eligibility requirements. You will also be responsible for creating and distributing informational materials to facilitate employee understanding and participation during this period.
– Addressing benefits-related inquiries from managers and employees, acting as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related questions and issues.
– Independently conducting FMLA leave tracking, as well as coordinating with third-party vendors as necessary.
– Assisting in the management of leave-of-absence and disability programs, ensuring timely and effective communication with employees on leave to promote a smooth return to work.
– Responding to employee inquiries regarding 401(k) enrollment, plan modifications, and contribution amounts.
– Gaining a thorough understanding of the collective bargaining agreement and relevant federal and state benefits laws, including FMLA, ADA, and COBRA.
– Performing quality checks on benefits-related data to ensure accuracy.
– Undertaking additional responsibilities as designated.

Requirements:
