Job description:

Unit: Eastpointe Dialysis (CA/CC & HHD)

Eastpointe Home Dialysis is an integral component of an outpatient dialysis facility specializing in the care of peritoneal and home dialysis patients, currently managing a census of 15 PD patients and 2 HHD patients. Our team is staffed with dedicated full-time Nephrologists, along with both full-time and part-time Home Nurses and home dialysis technicians. Additionally, supportive staff, including a front desk team and technical leaders (responsible for machine maintenance), collaborate across the outpatient clinic to assist with operational duties.

We provide case management for 17 patients, utilizing connected health systems for Baxter and NxStage technologies. Patient training for home dialysis treatments is conducted within the clinic, with PD training lasting 7 to 10 days and HHD training spanning 4 to 6 weeks. The home team facilitates monthly clinic visits for all home patients, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team and conducting lab draws for PD patients. Our team is committed to educating patients and providing referrals to preferred transplant service sites.

The unit typically operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, offering flexibility to meet clinic needs. Home Nurses participate in after-hours on-call duties and weekend coverage, with the home clinic generally closed on weekends and holidays unless specific training or clinical needs arise.

A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for certified dialysis clinical technicians.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in patient care and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals with kidney disease. This full-time position involves working four 10-hour shifts per week, with shared weekend and holiday rotation responsibilities.

  • Educate patients and their families on dialysis procedures, dietary guidelines, and self-care methods.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of medical records, including treatment activities and patient progress.
