We are currently seeking candidates for employment at the Downriver Family YMCA.

General Function:
The Sports Aide will play a crucial role in assisting with the preparation, implementation, and management of youth and adult sports programming.

Education/Experience/Training/Certifications:
– Previous experience working with children in a supervised setting is preferred, but not mandatory.
– Basic knowledge of sports is preferred, but not required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
– Assist in planning and executing sports activities.
– Ensure the smooth operation of all sports programs by providing support as needed, including coaching, refereeing, managing the score clock, and facilitating sports samplings or other classes.
– Maintain the quality and inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials.
– Assist in the proper storage of program equipment.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Abilities & Skills:
– Capacity to move equipment, including the strength to lift, carry, push, or pull items as necessary.
