AI Pay Analysis: To analyze the competitiveness of the hourly rate for a “Sr Data Scientist” in Grand Rapids, MI, it’s essential to consider industry standards and regional cost of living. As of October 2023, the average hourly rate for a Senior Data Scientist in the U.S. typically ranges from $50 to $90, depending on experience, skills, and specific industry applications. In Grand Rapids, rates may be slightly lower than national averages due to the city’s smaller tech market. If the offered rate falls within this range, it could be considered competitive; however, if it significantly undercuts the lower end of this spectrum, it may not attract top talent. Additionally, factors like the company’s reputation, opportunities for growth, and additional benefits also play critical roles in how competitive the pay is perceived.
