Responsibilities:
Job Purpose:
In this role, you will actively seek out new accounts for the Kalamazoo Wings while maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients.
Essential Job Results:
- Collaborate closely with the Kalamazoo Wings to develop and implement strategies aimed at driving ticket sales growth for season ticket holders, various other ticket purchasers, and group sales.
- Exhibit a strong passion for revenue generation and exceptional guest service.
- Drive marketing and sales promotion initiatives for the Kalamazoo Wings.
- Lead group sales initiatives for both hockey and other events hosted at Wings Event Center.
- Address customer concerns to foster long-term engagement and recommend improvements to management when necessary.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while effectively collaborating with various levels of leadership and associates.
- Service existing business accounts to facilitate future bookings while also establishing new accounts by strategically organizing daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules to connect with current and prospective clients.
- Continuously enhance the effectiveness of outside sales calls by analyzing the potential market, consulting with the General Manager, and adjusting strategies to improve closing ratios.
- Maintain an organized workflow and keep the General Manager updated by submitting various reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual segment analyses.
- Monitor the competitive landscape by gathering up-to-date market information, including pricing, products, competitor offerings, and promotions.
- Recommend enhancements to products, services, packages, and promotions by regularly evaluating results, actively seeking client feedback, and observing competitive trends.
- Foster positive interactions with colleagues by embodying and promoting Greenleaf Hospitality’s vision, mission, and core values.
- Continuously seek to enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, active participation in sales team meetings, reviewing industry publications, building professional networks, engaging in professional societies, and exploring additional methodologies.
Qualifications:
What You Need for this Position:
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though not required.
- Previous experience in contract negotiation and proposal creation is advantageous.
- A robust passion for driving revenue and delivering exemplary guest service is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple priorities.
- Motivated by purpose, mission, and values, with a strong sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication and verbal skills necessary for effective collaboration with staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, stoop, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.

- Capacity to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks.
