In this role, you will be tasked with planning and leading daily programs and special events that enrich the lifestyle of our residents and underscore the positive experiences at our Senior Lifestyle Community.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this role may also involve supervising other staff members. Key responsibilities include:

– Creating a joyful work environment that celebrates the lives of our residents
– Planning and executing daily community programs
– Encouraging collaboration among team members from various departments to design and deliver programs
– Organizing special events for residents in partnership with the sales and marketing teams
– Recognizing and honoring the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents while planning events and celebrations
– Building rapport with residents to foster active participation in community programs
– Promoting the SLC wellness model by providing programming opportunities that address the seven areas of wellness: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental
– Developing and disseminating a monthly calendar of events and a newsletter that adhere to SLC program and branding standards by the first of each month
– Coordinating and leading outings beyond the community to help residents stay connected with the surrounding area
– Developing partnerships both within and outside the community to enhance program offerings
– Actively promoting community lifestyle through a robust social media presence and collaboration with the sales and marketing departments
– Overseeing the resident ambassador program
– Assisting in the setup of seasonal and holiday decorations within the community
– Ensuring that program flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signage are current and compliant with SLC and brand standards
– Conducting all tasks in a manner that respects each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
– Responsible for recruiting, training, developing, and mentoring departmental staff in compliance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation Human Resources guidelines
– Securing and maintaining all necessary equipment and supplies for the department
– Managing departmental budgets and expenses
– Documenting and maintaining all required records for effective departmental management

Qualifications include:

– Formal Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or one to two years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
– Experience: Entry-level (0-3+ years), with a background in leading small or large group events
– Language Skills: Proficient in English, with the ability to engage, read, write, and communicate effectively with others
– Technical Competencies: Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook Email, online learning platforms, and social media
