Job description:

The Doubletree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport is seeking a skilled Hotel Accounting Manager to join our team. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Manager include overseeing daily reports, managing cash flow, handling accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and assisting the Regional Controller with month-end financial activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the compilation and preparation of financial statements, periodic forecasts, and the annual budget to provide robust support to the Accounting Department.
  • Review the daily revenue activity report to ensure accurate accountability of transactions, adjustments, tax liabilities, and proper general ledger coding, as well as posting monthly entries into the general ledger.
  • Oversee the preparation of accounts receivable invoicing and maintain accurate tracking of accounts receivables.
  • Be responsible for the preparation of bi-weekly payroll, supporting time-off accruals, and assisting in the setup and tracking of these accruals. Verify that all leaves of absence (LOA) are compensated accurately and assist in maintaining and communicating accruals through the payroll system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate should possess 2 to 3 years of hotel accounting experience or related industry experience.
