Job description:
Cleans and disinfects designated work areas in accordance with departmental protocols. Responsible for the safe removal of medical waste, trash, and linens. Conducts interim and restorative maintenance of the health system’s hard floors, carpets, and upholstery, adhering to established procedures. Operates efficiently within a designated area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
– Execute the cleaning, disinfecting, and replenishing of supplies in patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas, following predefined procedures.
– Manage the removal and disposal of linens and various waste streams.
– Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery in accordance with departmental standards.
– Assemble, maintain, and store the equipment and supplies necessary for job completion, ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines.
– Foster communication and collaboration with team members to guarantee seamless coordination of services. Identify and report general maintenance and specialized cleaning needs within the work area.
– Provide guidance to visitors and staff in navigating the hospital environment to reach their destinations.
