Position Summary
- Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of both hard and carpeted surfaces, including dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Duties also include the collection and proper disposal of trash, recycling, and soiled linen, as well as outdoor maintenance tasks like policing grounds.
- Safety: Utilize protective gear as required for all duties. Follow procedures for safe mixing and use of cleaning solutions, promptly report equipment or cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors, and ensure compliance with established safety, quality, and infection control standards.
- Punctuality: Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality while completing assigned cleaning tasks as scheduled.
- Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and maintaining a courteous and cooperative attitude towards supervisors, colleagues, and clients.
- Resident Experience: Engage with residents, staff, and facility guests in a positive and professional manner.
Qualifications
- Possess a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine and repetitive tasks.
- After receiving training, demonstrate leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and safely.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Reliability in attendance and punctuality is essential.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as mandated by state, local, and client guidelines is required.
- Ability to lift and carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push and pull 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, or walk for extended periods.
- Competence in working continuously on routine tasks.
- Capability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Residency within the service area is mandatory.
