Position Summary

  • Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Technician: Responsible for the comprehensive maintenance of both hard surface and carpeted floors, including tasks such as dust and wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in areas such as offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and dining rooms. Additionally responsible for the collection and appropriate disposal of trash, recycling, and soiled linen. May involve outdoor maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Safety: Required to utilize protective gear during all relevant tasks. Must ensure the safe and proper mixing and application of cleaning solutions while adhering to established safety protocols. Responsible for timely reporting of any equipment or cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors. Must maintain compliance with infection control and universal precautions to uphold a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Expected to maintain consistent attendance and arrive punctually for scheduled shifts, completing assigned cleaning tasks promptly. Should respond to paging systems in a timely manner.
  • Customer Experience: Represents HCSG positively by adhering to instructions while maintaining courteous and cooperative relations with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Engages in positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions to perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • After completing the required training, should possess leadership skills necessary to fulfill responsibilities independently and without causing harm to oneself or others.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and customer mandates is necessary.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling a maximum of 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously is required.
  • Must be able to work in proximity to food and cleaning products.
  • Residency within the service area is required.
