Position Summary

  • Heavy Housekeeper / Floor Tech: Responsible for the maintenance of hard and carpeted floors, including dusting, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction, and bonneting in various areas including offices, resident rooms, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and public dining areas. Duties also include the collection and proper disposal of trash, recycling, and soiled linen. Additional outdoor tasks may be assigned, such as maintaining grounds.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols by properly using protective gear and cleaning solutions. Promptly report equipment or product needs to your supervisor, ensuring compliance with established safety and quality standards. Follow infection control and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Punctuality: Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality, completing assigned cleaning tasks according to the designated schedule while responding to the paging system in a timely manner.
  • Customer Experience: Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and maintaining courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
  • Resident Experience: Engage in positive and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a positive attitude and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while performing routine tasks consistently.
  • After completing training, utilize leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be dependable and punctual.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by relevant authorities.
  • Capability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform routine tasks continuously and work in proximity to food and cleaning supplies.
  • Candidates must reside within the service area.
