In this role, you will have a significant impact on the lives of children, their families, and our community by preparing daily nutritious meals.

Compensation: $17 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy and delicious meals for preschool children, ensuring they meet appropriate nutritional requirements.
• Maintain and monitor food allergies for each child in our center, ensuring their safety and effectively communicating any identified allergies to teachers with each food delivery.
• Adhere to proper food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures to guarantee that food is stored correctly.
• Collaborate with the Center Leadership team to procure all necessary food and supplies while keeping inventory records in compliance with local and state regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service with a positive demeanor toward parents and children, while effectively listening and communicating.
• Remain flexible and adaptable to the daily operational needs of a childcare center.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• A valid food handling certificate.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
