In this role, you will be tasked with planning and leading daily programs and special events that improve the overall lifestyle of residents while celebrating the positive aspects of life within a Senior Lifestyle Community.
The ideal candidate for this position will:

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and may involve supervising other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
– Cultivate an engaging work environment focused on celebrating the lives of our residents
– Plan and implement daily programs within the community
– Create opportunities for team members from various departments to lead programs
– Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to plan and execute special events for residents
– Acknowledge and respect the individuality, diversity, and spirituality of all residents when organizing programs, events, and holiday celebrations
– Build rapport with residents to foster their participation in community activities
– Support the SLC wellness model by providing opportunities for residents to engage in programming across seven areas of wellness: physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, vocational, and environmental
– Develop and distribute a monthly calendar of events and newsletter that aligns with SLC program and brand standards by the beginning of each month
– Organize and facilitate trips outside the community, enhancing opportunities for residents to connect with the wider community
– Establish partnerships both internally and externally to improve program and event offerings
– Actively promote the community’s lifestyle through a vibrant social media presence and positive collaboration with sales and marketing departments
– Oversee the resident ambassador program
– Assist in the setup of seasonal and holiday decorations around the community
– Ensure program flyers, bulletin boards, and digital signage are current and comply with SLC and brand standards
– Conduct all tasks in a manner that upholds each resident’s dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
– Hire, train, develop, and mentor departmental employees in accordance with Senior Lifestyle Corporation Human Resources guidelines
– Secure and manage all departmental equipment and supplies
– Oversee the department’s budget and expenses
– Maintain accurate documentation and records necessary for effective departmental management
Qualifications:
– Formal Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Experience: Entry-level (0-3+ years) with a focus on leading group events.
– Language Skills: Proficiency in English to perform job duties and to effectively communicate with others.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, online learning platforms, and social media.

– Exhibit a willingness to embrace new activities.
– Possess an enthusiastic and engaging demeanor that encourages participation from residents, employees, and family members.

Driving Requirements:
This position does require the ability and a valid license to drive an automobile.
