Job description:

Unifi is seeking enthusiastic individuals for the role of Airport Passenger Service Agent at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (Delta). This is a part-time position with a competitive base pay rate of $16.50 per hour.

Position Summary:
As an Unifi Customer Service Agent, you will be the face of our organization, delivering exceptional customer service to our passengers. Your friendly demeanor and passion for helping others will contribute to creating a positive travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist passengers with baggage pick-up.
  • Help resolve issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged luggage.
  • Utilize computer software to track and catalog luggage effectively.
  • Manage customer interactions with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned, consistent with your skills and experience.
  • Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and move items weighing 70 pounds or more, with repetitive lifting of 40 to 50 pounds on elevated surfaces.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be a local (in-state) resident.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid in-state driver’s license is mandatory.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check covering up to 10 years.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 is required.
  • Completion of ramp and SIDA training is necessary for obtaining airport authority identification security.
  • Must be capable of carrying heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
  • Ability to remain alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and to operate radio equipment is essential.
